The queue is no longer just scheduled

Player reports now show completed queue attempts and live matches, while the Patch 26.15 bug megathread contains mode-specific reports. That is strong community verification of availability, separate from Riot's official design announcement.

Launch issues to watch

Classic-ish Augment highlights

PBE map rules

Old Rift, enforced all-mid

Classic-ish recreates the original custom-game ARAM idea on the Classic Summoner's Rift map, with restrictions that keep the random teams fighting in mid lane.

PBE

Classic map with boundaries

The full nostalgic setting returns, but Riot applies limitations so players cannot turn the match into normal Summoner's Rift.

Official

Mirror matches are possible

Each team rolls from its own pool, so the same champion can appear on both sides like early custom ARAM.

Teaser

Baron and Dragon are hungry

The PBE post teases both monsters watching the one-lane fight. Riot has not yet documented the exact encounter rules.

What goes old-school

Map

Classic-inspired battlefield

Riot describes the map as Classic-inspired, giving ARAM Mayhem its own early-League visual treatment.

Items

Classic items return

The item pool pulls from Classic, bringing retired build choices into the Mayhem format.

PBE

Unique and returning Augments

Riot now names six-Black-Cleaver and repeated-Doran builds, plus returning Baby Kitty and Final City Transit.

Important distinction

Modern champions, Classic theme

The main League Classic mode restores many pre-rework kits. Classic-ish does not: it limits selection to Classic's 60 launch champions while using their current, modern versions.

FAQ

Classic ARAM questions

What is ARAM: Mayhem Classic-ish?

ARAM: Mayhem Classic-ish is Riot's limited-time Classic-themed version of ARAM Mayhem. It has a Classic-inspired map, Classic items and Classic-themed Augments.

When does ARAM Mayhem Classic-ish launch?

ARAM: Mayhem Classic-ish launched alongside League of Legends Classic on July 29, 2026. Live-server player reports and the Patch 26.15 bug megathread now independently verify that the separate queue is playable.

Does the Classic ARAM mode use old champion kits?

No. Only the 60 champions in the League Classic launch roster are available, but ARAM: Mayhem Classic-ish uses their modern versions.

Is ARAM: Mayhem Classic-ish permanent?

No. Riot explicitly describes ARAM: Mayhem Classic-ish as a limited-time mode with its own queue. An end date has not been announced.

Is it replacing regular ARAM or ARAM Mayhem?

Riot says Classic-ish has its own separate queue. It has not announced that the mode permanently replaces regular ARAM or ARAM Mayhem.

Is ARAM Mayhem Classic-ish available on PBE?

The mode was publicly tested on PBE before launch. This page preserves those test details as reference; exact live values remain provisional until Riot publishes separate final Classic-ish notes.

What new Augments are in ARAM Mayhem Classic-ish?

PBE highlights include unlimited scaling Black Cleavers, stacking Doran's items, upgraded Deathfire Grasp and Zz'Rot Portal, uncapped Rods of Ages, the Hex Core, Snowball Roulette and returning Augments such as Baby Kitty.

What changed in the July 21 Classic-ish PBE update?

The July 21 datamine says regular ARAM Mayhem balance changes also apply to Classic-ish and removes Apex Inventor from the Classic-ish pool. PBE changes are not final launch notes.

Can both teams roll the same champion?

Yes. Riot's Dev Update says each team has its own champion pool, allowing old-style mirror matches even though teammates still draw from the 60-champion Classic roster.
