1 · Play

Complete Classic Missions

Missions award Classic Pass Coins instead of passively filling a conventional XP track.

2 · Choose

Buy rewards in the current tier

Coins let you target the rewards you want instead of forcing one fixed claim order.

3 · Ascend

Spend 125 Coins to advance

Spending 125 Classic Pass Coins in the current tier automatically unlocks the next tier.

4 · Claim

Use every Coin before deactivation

Unused Coins disappear when the Pass ends; Riot does not describe a carry-over into the next Act.

What is inside the Classic Pass?

Everyone can reach all six tiers. Premium does not replace the free path; it adds exclusive choices inside it. These are the most important reward categories rather than every individual icon, title and emote.

Free path

Skins, shards and Blue Essence

Free choices include permanent champion skin shards, a permanent ward skin shard, champion shards and several Blue Essence rewards.

Classic systems

Influence Points, Runes and a Rune Page

Multiple tiers offer IP, random Classic Runes and a Classic Rune Page, helping new and returning players build out the old progression systems.

Council

Community votes

Both the free and Premium tables include Council Votes, which connect the Pass to Riot's planned community decisions for Classic.

Premium Tier 6

Choose one high-tier skin

The final Premium tier offers a choice between Magma Chamber Jax and Nightbringer Lee Sin Prestige Edition for 100 Coins.

Classic Store rules

Your champion ownership carries over

Riot says champions only need to be purchased once. If you already own an eligible champion in League, that champion is available to you in Classic matches.

Classic Pass Coins do not carry over

Riot explicitly warns that every unused Classic Pass Coin is lost when the Pass ends. The current deactivation time is September 22 at 11:59 PM PT, but Riot says all dates can change.

League Classic Pass questions

When does the League Classic Pass start?

Riot Support says League Classic Pass: Act I content starts July 29, 2026 at 11:00 AM PT. A launch-day schedule change moved the League Classic mode to the same hour.

When does the League Classic Pass end?

Pass progression ends September 21, 2026 at 11:59 PM PT. The pass deactivates September 22, 2026 at 11:59 PM PT. Riot says these dates can change and the in-game schedule is authoritative.

Is the League Classic Pass free?

Everyone can unlock all six tiers for free, but some rewards require the Classic Premium Pass. Players complete Classic Missions, earn Classic Pass Coins and spend Coins on rewards in their current tier.

How much is the League Classic Premium Pass?

Riot lists the League Classic Premium Pass: Act I at 1,550 RP or $11.99 USD, with equivalent regional pricing. It unlocks access to Premium reward choices inside the six Pass tiers.

Do owned League champions work in Classic?

Yes. Riot Support says a champion only needs to be purchased once. If you already own that champion in League, you can use it in League Classic matches.

Do Classic Pass Coins expire?

Yes. Riot warns that unused Classic Pass Coins are permanently lost when the League Classic Pass ends, so rewards should be claimed before deactivation.
