The official landing page still contains some stale “Coming Soon” blocks, but its newly published launch post explicitly says Classic is now live. Launch-day access reports independently confirm the client flow and queues.
Open League of Legends, enter the mode picker and choose Classic. Launch-day reporting confirms Draft and Co-op vs AI, while Riot's pre-launch documentation also lists custom games. Ranked is not available at launch.
Riot lists September 21 · 11:59 PM PT as the progression deadline and September 22 · 11:59 PM PT as deactivation. Unused Classic Pass Coins are lost when the Pass ends.

Riot has not explicitly labeled League Classic permanent or limited-time. It has announced future champions, seasonal passes and Council votes; ARAM: Mayhem Classic-ish is separately confirmed as limited-time.
