How Cho'Gath wins

Cho'Gath grows through controlled clears and high-confidence objective finishes. Use Carnivore to stay healthy, approach ganks from an angle that makes Rupture difficult to sidestep and combine Feast with Smite instead of gambling the objective.

Cho'Gath splash art and skins

5 skin splash references are attached to this Classic champion record. A “Classic skin” badge comes directly from the Data Dragon name; other entries are visual references and do not independently claim current in-client availability.

Classic kit

Abilities and practical use

Carnivore

Secure camp units to restore health and mana, keeping enough resources for the next gank or objective rather than recalling after every clear.

Rupture

Place it slightly behind a retreating target or layer it after allied control instead of aiming at a freely moving champion's current position.

Feral Scream

Silence a target before it can dash or retaliate, then place Rupture along the forced escape path.

Vorpal Spikes

Use the attack spikes for multi-target clearing and line up camps or champions so the pass-through damage reaches more than one unit.

Feast

Secure a kill or objective for a growth stack; Classic Feast caps at six stacks and loses half the stacks on death.

Game plan

Lane and map plan

First clear

Use Carnivore sustain and Vorpal Spikes to clear efficiently, ward against invades and avoid forcing a low-probability level-two gank.

Gank setup

Approach outside common vision, lead with Silence when a mobility spell matters and place Rupture on the target's escape line.

Objective control

Track Feast and Smite together, establish vision first and reserve the true-damage finish for the secure threshold.

Timing windows

Power spikes

Level 3

All three basic tools unlock sustain, silence and knock-up for a complete gank sequence.

Level 6

Feast adds objective security, kill pressure and the start of permanent health growth.

Six Feast stacks

Maximum Classic growth gives Cho'Gath a much larger front-line presence, but deaths still remove half the stacks.

Matchup framework

What changes the lane

favorable

Farm jungler

Use healthy clears and Feast security to arrive first at neutral objectives.

difficult

Early invader

Ward entrances, avoid isolated camp contests and use Rupture plus Silence to disengage rather than chase.

even

Mobile ganker

Counter with objective tempo and layer Rupture after allied control instead of predicting every dash.

Classic context

Differences from modern League

  • Feast caps at six growth stacks and Cho'Gath loses half of them on death.
  • Vorpal Spikes are part of the legacy attack pattern rather than the modern charge-based presentation.
  • The reviewed Patch 26.15 route is a Flash-and-Smite jungle build.
