How Wukong wins

Wukong should trade before the opponent can organize a response. Dash, land the armor-reducing attack and leave through Decoy; in teamfights, save the one Cyclone for a line that matters.

Wukong splash art and skins

4 skin splash references are attached to this Classic champion record. A “Classic skin” badge comes directly from the Data Dragon name; other entries are visual references and do not independently claim current in-client availability.

Classic kit

Abilities and practical use

Stone Skin

Use the added armor and magic resistance near enemy champions to survive a committed grouped entry.

Crushing Blow

Deliver the extended-range attack after Nimbus Strike to reduce armor for the rest of the physical damage.

Decoy

Break vision and retreat after the short combo, or leave the delayed magic-damage clone inside a crowded fight.

Nimbus Strike

Dash when the target is isolated enough for the intended hit while using the extra images to pressure nearby units.

Cyclone

Knock up the key formation and use the movement speed to stay in contact; Classic Cyclone has only one charge.

21 Offense9 Defense0 Utility

A 21/9/0 page maximizes physical burst and provides the defensive baseline needed to enter melee range.

Game plan

Lane and map plan

Short combo

Wait for a last-hit, use E into Q and Decoy away before the opponent's extended pattern begins.

Vision pressure

Move through brush, vary whether Decoy starts or ends the trade and avoid spending it when jungle pressure is unknown.

Single-ultimate fight

Choose the most valuable knock-up line before casting because Classic Cyclone cannot be recast.

Timing windows

Power spikes

Level 3

Dash, armor reduction and Decoy create Wukong's complete short-trade loop.

Level 6

Cyclone adds reliable area disruption and much stronger all-in pressure.

Black Cleaver

Health and armor reduction support both the first target and allied physical follow-up.

Matchup framework

What changes the lane

favorable

Fragile ranged top

Use brush and E range to force a short burst, then leave through Decoy.

difficult

Sustained tank

Do not remain after the E-Q window; use wave tempo and grouped Cyclone value instead.

even

Burst melee

Trade first, use Decoy to deny the return combo and re-enter only when cooldowns favor Wukong.

Classic context

Differences from modern League

  • Cyclone has one charge and cannot be recast.
  • Decoy leaves an uncontrollable clone that deals delayed magic damage nearby.
  • Stone Skin grants armor and magic resistance for each nearby enemy champion.

How to read this guide

Riot's official material confirms the live Patch 26.15 Classic scope and 60-champion structure. The build, rune, mastery and skill-order snapshot above is community evidence from Mobalytics, reviewed on 2026-07-31. Rune labels were additionally reconciled against Rift Archive so every displayed selection resolves to the reviewed live catalog. P/Q/W/E/R names and mechanic terminology were independently checked against Riot Data Dragon 16.15.1. Lane plans, timing windows and matchup archetypes remain original editorial analysis; they are not measured win-rate or counter claims.
