Riot has now detailed how old rune pages and 30-point mastery trees unlock in LoL Classic. Progression is faster than old League and everyone gets a usable default page.

Runes unlock by playing and use old Tier 3 strength as their baseline. Players start with three Rune Pages, earn two more from Classic Levels and can buy extras with returning IP.

Riot's preview shows a 21/0/9 allocation across the classic three-tree layout, confirming the older mastery system's return.

All Mastery pages and points are fully unlocked at Classic Level 4. A default page prevents players who forget setup from entering substantially underpowered.
