How Lulu wins

Lulu's value comes from assigning each dual-purpose spell correctly. Protect the carry when damage is unavoidable and disable the attacker when prevention is stronger than shielding.

Lulu splash art and skins

5 skin splash references are attached to this Classic champion record. A “Classic skin” badge comes directly from the Data Dragon name; other entries are visual references and do not independently claim current in-client availability.

Classic kit

Abilities and practical use

Pix, Faerie Companion

Keep Pix's position in mind because allied and enemy casts change where follow-up damage originates.

Glitterlance

Aim both lines to cover movement routes; in Classic the two bolts cannot damage one target twice.

Whimsy

Polymorph the committed threat or speed the ally who can safely convert the window.

Help, Pix!

Shield expected burst or reveal and mark an enemy so the next Glitterlance has a new angle.

Wild Growth

Cast on the ally at the center of the fight to interrupt nearby enemies and extend survival.

Game plan

Lane and map plan

Levels 1–2

Pressure only from behind a safe minion line and preserve Whimsy for a real counter-engage.

Level 3 onward

Choose between enemy-target E plus Q for reach and ally-target E for protection; do not mix purposes accidentally.

Team fights

Stay near the primary damage dealer and stagger Polymorph, shield and Wild Growth across the enemy commitment.

Timing windows

Power spikes

Level 3

All three basic spells unlock Lulu's full protect-or-punish decision tree.

Level 6

Wild Growth can reverse a dive and creates a close-range knock-up.

Cooldown and utility items

More frequent defensive casts let Lulu protect through longer fights.

Matchup framework

What changes the lane

favorable

Single diver

Hold Polymorph until the diver is committed and unable to wait out the disable.

difficult

Long-range mage lane

Avoid predictable Pix angles and save the shield for the spell that actually connects.

even

Sustain support

Use short Q windows to establish pressure without exhausting the defensive mana pool.

Classic context

Differences from modern League

  • Classic Glitterlance bolts cannot both damage the same target.
  • The reviewed community route maxes Q before W and E.
  • Legacy gold runes, 30-point masteries and ward purchases govern support progression.
Evidence and review

How to read this guide

Riot's official material confirms the live Patch 26.15 Classic scope and 60-champion structure. The build, rune, mastery and skill-order snapshot above is community evidence from Mobalytics, reviewed on 2026-07-31. Rune labels were additionally reconciled against Rift Archive so every displayed selection resolves to the reviewed live catalog. P/Q/W/E/R names and mechanic terminology were independently checked against Riot Data Dragon 16.15.1. Lane plans, timing windows and matchup archetypes remain original editorial analysis; they are not measured win-rate or counter claims.
